Gold River – Gateway to Historic Nootka Sound
After your adventures in beautiful Nootka Sound or rock climbing in
Strathcona Park, the Ridge Pub is a welcome haven to reflect on your
day’s endeavours. The Pub hosts spectacular views of the Golden Hind
Mountain Range and the Matchlee Peak has snow year-round. The beautiful
vista is experienced from any seat of the Dining Room, Pub or patio and

pub fare. The area’s secluded environment makes wildlife easy to view
and you can watch the helicopters fly in and out from the Pub’s helipad.
Access to the Pub is west of Campbell River along a dramatic natural
highway which passes through incredible panorama settings and is a
perfect trek for motorcyclists. The Pub hosts live entertainment or
karaoke on occasional weekends.
